Do you have any advice for someone who may want to start a non-profit organization?
“Make sure that what you’re doing is not just something new, but necessary. I think there’s this huge bias towards being innovative. The world does not only need innovative solutions. In a lot of cases there are problems that don’t get addressed because they’re not as sexy as something brand new. I think people need to be okay with stepping back and not having their ego entangled in coming up with the next new idea but instead commit themselves to doing work that matters and making existing ideas and systems work better.”
